The 6th Hobie Fishing European Championship will be held at Gruža Lake in Serbia from September 13th -15th 2019. Anglers from over all of Europe will travel to the Balkan to compete for the Hobie Fishing European Championship title.
Competitors of the 6th edition of the tournament will travel to the small municipality Knić next to the fabulous lake Gruža. Knić is a municipality situated in a valley surrounded by mountains. In the lower course of the river Gruža lies Gruža Lake – an artificial lake that was created in 1983 as a water reservoir for the city of Kragujevac and the surrounding settlements. “We are super excited to organize the event in Serbia, especially on Gruža lake. The surroundings are stunning and the fishing is amazing as well. Together with our organizing partner and Hobie Kayak dealer Sailing Fishing Infinity we have found a perfect tournament arena for the 2019 Hobie Fishing event.” According to Gero Priebe. “Besides the target species Pike and Zander there are a numerous other predatory fish that will get your adrenaline going.”
HFE6 is a two day CPR (Catch-Photo-Release) event. The angler with the most aggregate length after two competition days wins the title of Hobie Fishing European Champion 2019, a spot in team Europe for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 9 including a flight voucher and a prize package provided by our sponsors.
The entry fee for the two day event is 120 EUR. Competitors must fish from a Hobie Mirage Kayak. There are a limited number of kayaks available to rent.
